Children's programme 6: Sangerhausen in the Middle Ages
.On a tour of the museum, we look at all the objects that are exhibited on the theme of the Middle Ages. The pupils learn that archaeological finds are an important source of information about everyday life in the Middle Ages. Central themes in the Spengler Museum are the development of the land in the southern Harz and the golden floodplain since Frankish times and the royal palatinate of Tilleda in the 10th/11th century. The foundation and development of Sangerhausen in the Middle Ages are vividly explained on the town model. Finally, the pupils actively apply their newly acquired knowledge and build a medieval Sangerhausen together with wooden blocks.
