 The Straußberg Adventure Park

The four-hectare monkey forest between Kleinfurra and Straußberg in the south-eastern Harz foreland is an experience especially for families! Right through the middle of the forest you chase down into the valley on the summer toboggan run! 760 metres of pure power with five steep curves, 44 metres difference in altitude - thrills and adrenaline rush included! You don't have to walk up to the starting point here - a drag lift takes you comfortably and relaxed 240 metres up. Fun for the whole family!
Unlike in a zoo, you don't experience the animals here from a distance in enclosures or cages, but meet them in the wild. Rare species, some of which are threatened with extinction, have found a home in the Wildlife Park and can roam freely on the grounds. The animals are used to meeting people and are therefore particularly trusting. So it may happen that a small, high-spirited katta jumps onto your shoulder.

Opening Times:

Our Wildlife Park and the SPEEDRIDE summer toboggan run are open to visitors every day from 1 April to 31 October.
from 9 am to 6 pm.
Last admission to the Wildlife Park is at 5 pm.
