Children's Programme 5: Stone Age
The tour begins in the Ice Age and introduces the mammoth skeleton from Edersleben and the Palaeolithic hunters from Bilzingsleben. There are many finds from the Neolithic period in our region. The children are given original finds and together we consider what the Neolithic farmers used the things for. Finally, we try out how to make a thread out of sheep's wool with a Stone Age spindle whorl and a spinning stick (experimental archaeology). Alternatively, an amulet can also be made.
