Attention to summit strikers and slag heap conquerors:
The "Hohe Linde" calls for a slag heap climb

.

The Rosenstadt Sangerhausen GmbH invites visitors from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.to climb the tailings pile of the "Hohe Linde" copper slate mine.

At the very top of the summit, everyone will receive the coveted stamp in their summit passport.

Always sensational and overwhelming is the wide panoramic view over the mining and rose town of Sangerhausen, the Southern Harz, the Kyffhäuser and the Goldene Aue, which opens up from the 144 m high summit of today's industrial monument. The effort of the climb is worth it for that alone.

Catering is provided, and for many years the Martinsrieth shawm band has been the musical accompaniment to the ascent of the slag heap.

How to get there:
via Lengefeld (park at the sports ground and then continue on foot)

.
