Take a few leaves, blossoms and grasses and conjure up a face of nature.

Angela Straßberger from Saxony knows how it works. With a practised eye, the right touch, a portion of patience and a lot of empathy, the trained commercial artist knows the rare art of creating flowers. She draws from nature's rich treasury and is on the move from early spring to late autumn in meadows and fields, in gardens and parks, to find the right ingredients for her flower children. "It absolutely has to be dry," explains the expert, so that her treasures, which are dried and pressed after collection, lose none of their beauty and naturalness.

Once Angela Straßberger, who lives with her family in her hometown of Rabenau in the Sächsische Schweiz/Osterzgebirge district, has sorted all her treasures, she carefully goes to work with glue and tweezers to create her unique calendars, pictures, cards and books. These works of art, which speak of her love for children and for Mother Nature, attract a great deal of attention at markets and fairs as well as state garden shows.

A large audience has come to appreciate Angela Straßberger's handwriting. The 67-year-old expert has also already shown several exhibitions throughout central Germany.
