The work deals with the situation of a mother today. The "mother animal" finds herself in a rollercoaster of situations between environment, family and her own inner life. Growing, life-giving, physical structures unite with crystalline, hardening outgrowths. A growing entity that forms itself and at the same time seems to react to external influences.

Line Jastram's works, both in her freelance work and in her jewellery, are based on basic geometric shapes - triangle, circle, square - which she usually arranges in series. Or she creates amorphous forms, which she likes to contrast with the geometric ones. The chosen reduction in the elements of the respective works gives them something monumental, regardless of their actual size.
Wood is an important material for her and if "trees are the poems that the earth writes in the sky" (Khalil Gibran), her works can perhaps be called haiku verses.
